According to the letter of Victor Yanukovich, 23th of august is announced as mourning day in Ukraine, because of the recent catastrophe of Tu-154M close to Donetsk (Eastern Ukraine), which was going from Anapa to Saint-Petersburg.

Well, after the recent news from Slashdot.org, I came across writely.com, and honestly got the answer for this bloggers’ conflict on the question, what bloggers will use: Windows Live writer (free), or BlogJet ($39)? (or anything else less popular)
Right now, having the opportunity of simply writing your articles on-line, with spelling check, basic HTML+Tagging functions, people won’t have to download/buy anything.
Guys made a good job! ![]()
From the latest Slashdot news, there is a rumor that soon the Amazon.com will start selling movies, which you’ll be able to download from Amazon.com.
Up to now the one of the biggest on-line shop didn’t comment this information, but in Kokogiak.com you can see the screenshots of this “download service”.
Even though, now you can find a lot of TV shows through the other media portals like Metacafe.com or Youtube.com, none of them do not offer this kind of service by limiting the size of upload files, not mentioning the sizes of a movie!
Most probably the service will be very popular but not for all the Web users: not everyone can download movies fast, because of the Internet connection they are using - still the majority is non-ADSL users.
Yesterday, some people from Russian Community Forum and I (as this forum newbie), went to Paphos, where in front of the archeological museum was the “Antiwar” rock-concert, of course with the aim of getting some donations for the Lebanese refugees.
As Lev said (and he was completely right) Open-Air concerts most of the time suffer with the incorrect installation of the sound, and we were convinced in it after the start of the concert. The singer couldn’t hear what he was singing, but the music was really good.
The only doubt was the name of the concert, and the case that the war has been already finished.
Maybe they didn’t expect such a fast end of the conflict?
Since I’ve started blogging in Wordpress platform, I faced the fact of searching some kind of RSS software or any service which can handle the feeds, would be flexible, friendly and easy-to-use.
At the beginning I started to use Awasu Aggregator, which was handling the required features and also has a big number of plug-ins to use. The only reason of switching from it was - overloading of the interface. Some people may say that it’s good, but for a small program to have the interface more complicate then 3DS Max, which has tons of modifiers, filters, it’s unusable!
So I start using RssBandIt, which corresponds to all the requirements: integrated browser, hierarchical menu with the abilities of proper feed management, login/pass savings. The only disadvantage was the size of memory taken - it was using the same size as Firefox, and it was quite inconviniently of keeping it in the tray most of the time, when you are working with the programs like: 3ds max, Adobe Premiere.
Finally, I ended up with Bloglines utilization, when I had to format the PC and all the feeds where lost. The on-line feed platform makes the surfing easier, because the web browsers are still more efficient and usable in case of reading/commenting the posts in the feeds, and it doesn’t use as many resources as the utilization of Rss software+ web browser, you don’t have to switch between them.
