It’s not even an ado,it is closer to a rumble. An unsubstantiated rumor about Google planning to buy Youtube appears not just a rumor: Google moves closer to Youtube Deal.
YouTube struck a revenue-sharing deal last month with Warner Music Group that took steps to address some of Warner’s copyright concerns. And on Monday, YouTube announced separate agreements with three other media groups: CBS, Universal Music and Sony BMG. These latest deals could be attempts by YouTube to clarify its legal picture ahead of an agreement to be acquired.
While there are no exact results about the Google and Youtube talks, the other people are trying to estimate the average revenues of Youtube:
The popular file sharing service sells its home page ads for nice $175,000 for 400,000 viewers, according to the already-venerable Paidcontent.org.
Sounds like an attractive market place for Google after the failure of Google Video project. Youtube appeared more popular, more flexible for bloggers and other web media source, and the copyright violation problem doesn’t appear so important at the moment. Under the protection of Google the problem becomes inessential. Who knows, maybe that is why Google has bought Youtube yet?
Google becomes Hollywood and YouTube becomes just another studio where a few people make a lot of money and the rest is silence. ©
If you had som much money and your video project was unseccessful, wouldn’t you do the same Google is trying to do now?
