Tips for Feeling Yourself Great

February 13th, 2007

Ririan Project caught my attention few months ago, with pile of articles made of tips for everyday life, that every person should remind himself.
Few days ago, they’ve written a great article on self-esteem:

Some people have a bad habit of putting themselves down often. They say negative things to themselves like, “I’m always late. Why am I such a flake?” or “There you go again, stupid!” So get in the new habit of catching yourself saying critical things about yourself and learn to silence your inner critic. And if this is unavoidable, at least tone down the level of your criticism.

Seems like this tip was just copied from me! :D

Just to expand the tip a tiny bit – instead of saying (or even thinking) bad stuff about yourself, it’s far better to say (or even think) bad stuff about others. So, just change “There you go again, stupid!” to “There you go again, stupid!” and you should be fine. :)

P.S. with tip no. 2 : Thinking bad stuff about others is by far safer than saying it outloud. Even if you aren’t saying it to those about who you think that bad stuff. :)

hehe, definitely that expansion changes the meaning of the whole post ;)
So the bad things can be measured by the volume of saying them with a direct dependency with person’s health?;)

Well, there is more to the equation. For example, Uncle Vova’s health will be affected much less by Uncle Vova’s saying bad stuff about others outloud, than, say, mine. :)

The way of affecting people verbally or physically after saying something bad? ;)
